Clare Cauley

At her Apple Blossom Senior Living Residence, Moon Township, PA on Monday, January 12, 2026, Clare C. Webb, age 105, went to be with her Lord and Savior. Beloved wife of the late William E. Webb, Sr. Loving mother of William E. "Eddie" (Martha Jane) Webb Jr. of Burnsville, VA., Eleanor (the late Charles) Rech of Franklin, TN., and Clare Louise (David) Schoppe of Coraopolis, PA. 

Devoted grandmother of Marjorie (the late David) Hevener, William E. III (Pam) Webb, Scott (Dele) Rech, Jennifer (Vince) Palmier, Michael (Georgette) Rech, Karen (the late James) Schoppe-Frank), David Jr. (Angela) Schoppe, Darren (Michelle) Schoppe, and Clare (William) Long. 

Clare’s family tree also included 21 great grandchildren; Jessica, Darah, Daniel H, Sarah, Daniel R, Christopher R, Michael, Katie, Ellen, Luke, Evie, Christopher F., Austin, Aundraya, Abigail, Amanda, Kylie, Lane, Darian, Angela and Justin and 5 great-great grandchildren, Sophia, Jaxson, Noah, Jackson and Hayes. 

Preceded in death by her parents George W. and Mollie (Venable) Cauley and siblings Julia, William, Carson, Della, Virgil, Virginia, Herman, Averille (Mutt), Grandville (Jeff). 

Clare enjoyed meeting new friends in the many places she resided during her life. Born and raised in Bath County, Virginia, where she married and raised her children and then moved to Pittsburgh, PA, Baton Rouge, LA, Paducah, KY, Morrestown, NJ, and Wilmington, NC. She was an avid reader, which she said kept her mind active. She often stated that the secret to her longevity was to thank the Lord every morning for another day of life and to be grateful for the love and care she received from family and caregivers. 

A celebration of Clare’s life and a graveside service will be held at a future date and location. (TBD). That information will be posted on this website when confirmed. If desired, memorials may be directed to Ken Mawr United Presbyterian Church, 1760 Pine Hollow Road, McKees Rocks, PA 15136.
